Wait, What? June, Already?

Hey there lovely ladies! Can you believe it's already June? The year is flying by in a blur. Between graduations on all levels, to Mother's Day, Father's Day, weddings, showers, and all the other Hallmark holidays, it can leave us in a swirl.

As we enter this new month, I think it's the perfect opportunity for us to hit pause and honestly assess how we're feeling - mind, body and soul. For many of us, the menopausal transition has likely begun, in full swing, or even post-menopausal. Hormones do not discriminate. And let me tell you, it can feel like a daily roller coaster some days!

One minute you're powered up and ready to conquer the world. The next, you're dealing with hot flashes, mood swings, brain fog and overall fatigue. This journey is no joke, but I truly believe adopting a holistic approach to our wellness can help make the ride smoother.

You see, menopause isn't just a physical shift - it impacts us in every aspect of our lives. That's why it's so important to nurture ourselves wholly during this stage. Our daily habits, from nutrition and exercise to sleep and stress management, play a huge role in determining how we experience menopause symptoms.

When we're powered by nutritious foods, moving our bodies regularly, and taking proactive steps to reduce stress, we're better equipped to handle whatever menopause throws our way. But when our diets are out of whack, we're sedentary and running on fumes, even the mildest hot flash can leave us feeling miserable.

So as we kick off June, I encourage you all to reassess your wellness routines. How can you bring more balance and nurturing practices into your daily lifestyle? Here are some things I'll be focused on:

FITNESS- Move Your Body

• Getting in daily movement, whether it's a yoga class or just a brisk walk around the neighborhood

• Strength training 2-3 times per week to build muscle mass and stave off weight gain

• Trying new low-impact activities like swimming or cycling to keep my routine exciting

NUTRITION

• Increasing my intake of anti-inflammatory, phytoestrogen-rich foods like leafy greens, berries, and soy products

• Staying hydrated! Proper hydration can help manage hot flashes and other lovely menopause perks

• Meal prepping wholesome, nutrient-dense dishes so I have zero excuse for grabbing junk.

SELF-CARE; Get Into It!

• Prioritizing 7-8 hours of quality sleep per night - sleep is restorative gold during this transition!

• Practicing deep breathing exercises and meditation to keep stress in check

• Scheduling guilt-free activities that bring me joy, whether it's reading, taking a bath, or just putting my feet up.

Ladies, nurturing our whole selves is so crucial as we navigate this second part of life. Our daily choices directly impact how we experience this transition. So let's embrace habits that leave us feeling vibrantly healthy from the inside out!

I'm sending you all a huge virtual hug as we embark on not just a new month, but this profound new chapter together. Here's to prioritizing our well-being in June and beyond!

Cheering you on every step,
